This unique dual certification allows her to address both physical and mental health needs, providing comprehensive care that recognizes the interconnected nature of overall wellness.
“My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they work toward improved stability, resilience, and overall well-being. I focus on creating treatment plans that are practical and effective.”
Georgia’s extensive clinical background spans diverse healthcare settings, from emergency medicine at Advent Health to specialized treatment-resistant depression management at Nepenthe Wellness, where she utilizes advanced therapies including ketamine infusions and Spravato therapy. Her experience includes geriatric psychiatry and dementia-related behavioral care, telepsychiatry across multiple platforms, and academic leadership as Dean and Director of Healthcare Career Programs. She has particular strength in managing patients across the lifespan, from ages 5 to 100, with specialized competencies in crisis intervention, substance use disorder management, and innovative treatments for treatment-resistant conditions.
Currently working with Kind Health, Georgia specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients with complex conditions including opioid use disorder, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Her expertise extends to prescribing and monitoring Suboxone therapy for opioid use disorder, ensuring safety, adherence, and relapse prevention.
Georgia’s approach to psychiatric care emphasizes creating individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that integrate psychopharmacology with supportive care. She utilizes standardized assessment tools to track patient outcomes and collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, primary care providers, and case managers to support comprehensive patient recovery. Her extensive training in both family practice and psychiatric care, combined with her academic leadership experience and professional recognitions including induction into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, positions her as a skilled provider capable of addressing complex mental health needs with both clinical expertise and genuine compassion.
