Dr. Will Clark brings over a decade of distinguished academic medicine experience to his role as Medical Director for Kind Health and his private practice in Dallas. His journey in psychiatry began with exceptional academic achievement, graduating with honors from the University of Texas at Austin’s prestigious Plan II Liberal Arts Honors Program and earning Phi Beta Kappa recognition before completing his medical degree at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. His excellence continued through residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he was named “Most Outstanding Resident in Psychiatry” – an honor awarded to only one resident across all training levels each year.

For ten years, Dr. Clark served on the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, advancing from Instructor to Associate Professor while taking on increasingly significant clinical, research, and administrative responsibilities. His academic career was marked by leadership roles including Medical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatry Service and Director of the Interventional Psychiatry Service. His research expertise centers on cutting-edge treatments for treatment-resistant mental health conditions, having served as Study Physician and Principal Investigator on numerous groundbreaking clinical trials involving deep brain stimulation, magnetic seizure therapy, vagus nerve stimulation, and novel pharmacological approaches.

After leaving academic medicine in 2023, Dr. Clark founded his private practice with a renewed focus on personalized, patient-centered care. His approach combines the rigor of academic medicine with the warmth and accessibility of private practice, allowing him to dedicate more time to understanding each individual’s unique circumstances and treatment goals. His expertise encompasses the comprehensive management of mood disorders, anxiety conditions, and psychotic disorders, with particular skill in treating patients with co-occurring substance use concerns. Dr. Clark’s unique background bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and compassionate clinical care, providing patients access to the most advanced treatment options including neurostimulation therapies and ketamine treatment, while ensuring that each person receives care that is both evidence-based and deeply personal.
